Ludington man arrested for stabbing man last September.

LUDINGTON — A 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a felony charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder after allegedly stabbing a 39-year-old Ludington man last September.

The suspect was arrested by Ludington police officers Tuesday, July 12, ​shortly before 1:30 a.m. in the ​300 block of West Ludington Ave​nue, said Cpt. Steve Wietrzykowski.

“The arrest was made following an investigation that originated in the 600 block of East Dowland Street on Sept. 12, 2021,” said Cpt. Wietrzykowski. “The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail. The victim in this case, a 39-year-old Ludington man, was treated at Spectrum Ludington Hospital on Sept. 12, 2021 for two stab wounds and released.”

  • ​3:30 p.m., ​a 39-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant for attempting to bribe a witness, 200 block of East Second Street​, City of Ludington. The arrest is a result of an investigation that began on May 6, 2022 in the City of Ludington. The original venue is also in the 200 block of East Second Street. The woman was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • (Time unknown), ​a 19-year-old Ludington man was arrested for making a false report of a felony to police, 400 block of East Seventh Street​, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
