Ludington asking for help in designing sesquicentennial logo. 

LUDINGTON — The City of Ludington is asking the public to design a logo for the city’s sesquicentennial celebration, which will be held in 2023. The logo will be used for the official event marketing promotions. 

Logo Design Contest Rules

• Logo must include the words “150th or 150 years” and “City of Ludington.”

• Logo must be the original work of the submitter.

• Logo may include any colors.

• Logo may be created with pencils, crayons, markers, paint, or maybe created with software program eg. Adobe Illustrator. (Logos created on paper, must then be scanned into an electronic format. This is the responsibility of the submitter.)

• Logo should be simple, not overly detailed, and all elements must be discernible when reproduced in smaller sizes.

• Logos must be high resolution. 

Participation

The competition is open to all. 

Submission

• Designs must be submitted in electronic formats. Maximum pixel is 1280px by 1280px

• Electronic submissions should be in .png, .jpg, or .tiff file formats.

• Submit entries via email at htykoski@ci.ludington.mi.us.

Submission Deadline is Aug. 15 at noon. 

A committee comprised of members of the Sesquicentennial Committee will judge and select the winning entry. Entries will be judged on their visual appeal, adherence to the concept prompting the contest, quality of design, and ease of reproduction for the purposes stated above. The Judge’s decision will be final.
