Deputies recover stolen vehicle.

FOUNTAIN — Mason County sheriff’s deputies, following up on a tip, recovered a stolen 1999 GMC Suburban that was reported stolen in the City of Muskegon. The vehicle was recovered Friday, July 8, shortly before 7 p.m. in the 4800 block of North Cleveland Road, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. The case remains under investigation.

Friday, July 8, 2022:

• 9:40 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road north of Johnson Road, Amber Township.
• 12:15 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Wildwood Crossing, Amber Township.
• ​12:54 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 33-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault, ​200 block of West Tinkham Ave​nue, City of Ludington. No injuries were reported. The suspect was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Saturday, July 9, 2022:

• ​10:43 a.m., (LPD), ​a 60-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court for failure to appear, 400 block of East Third Street​, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 11:23 a.m., (MCSO), a 29-year-old Custer woman was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued in Mason County, 600 block of North Custer Road, Custer Township.
• 12:31 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle, rear-end crash, US 10 east of Meyers Road, Amber Township. A 64-year-old Free Soil woman and her passenger — a 66-year-old Free Soil man — were both injured after the vehicle the woman was operating was rear-ended at a red traffic light.
• 1:46 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 46-year-old Free Soil woman was cited for operating without insurance, southbound US 31 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
• 11:32 p.m., (MCSO), a 32-year-old New Era man was arrested for operating while under the influence of drugs following a citizen’s call reporting a possible intoxicated driver, US 10 and Reek Road, Custer Township.

Sunday, July 10, 2022:

• 7:38 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 south of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township.
• 7:55 a.m., (MCSO), larceny of gas valued at $40, Pioneer Party Store, 6100 block of East US 10, Branch Township. Charges will be sought against a 56-year-old New Era woman following an investigation.
• 8:34 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive north of Bryant Road, City of Ludington.
• 2:47 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Sugar Grove Road east of US 31, Sherman Township.
• ​4:51 p.m., (LPD), ​a 39-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for larceny, Harbor View Marina​, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
