LUDINGTON — A warrant is being requested to charge a 34-year-old Belmont man with possession of a controlled substance in a secure facility after he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine in the Mason County Jail Wednesday, June 29, at 9:45 p.m., according to Chief Deputy Oscar Davila of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.

“While at the Mason County Jail, an inmate was found to be in possession of a controlled substance after he had gone to his property to retrieve some money, and he retrieved the substance hidden in the property,” said Davila. “A corrections deputy found him concealing the substance while he was watching his actions.”
