Marine animals to be featured at libraries.
LUDINGTON — Children and families are invited to meet marine animals at the Mason County District Library on Monday, June 20 at 1 p.m. at the Ludington library and Wednesday, June 22 at 1 p.m. at the Scottville Library.

Humans live on land but share the planet with a large variety of sea life. Many animals like amphibians, turtles, crocodiles, and others, live on both land and sea. The importance of protecting our ecosystems is explained in this fascinating program which features a variety of live animals.

Saving the world’s oceans can help feed the 9 billion people projected to be on earth by 2050. By conserving water, reducing waste and pollution, we all can help to save our oceans.

The library’s Summer Reading theme is Oceans of Possibilities. There is plenty of time to sign up for Summer Reading and achieve literacy as well as fun prizes.

Mason County District Library programs are free. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
