Woman pulled over in stolen car during traffic stop.

BRANCH TOWNSHIP — A 36-year-old Fountain woman was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle when she was pulled over by the Michigan State Police during a traffic stop Friday, May 27, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“The vehicle was pulled over on an unrelated traffic stop by MSP, and the vehicle was impounded the night before the reported theft,” said Cole. The vehicle was reported stolen Saturday, May 28, shortly before 3 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Goff Road. A report will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

  • 8:36 a.m,. (LPD), a 35-year-old Chicago man was cited for driving without a license, Ludington Avenue and James Street, City of Ludington.
  • 1:26 p.m,. (MCSO), larceny, 4800 block of South Brye Road, Riverton Township. The complainant reported a battery stolen from a camper trailer.

Monday, May 30, 2022:

  • 11:13 a.m., (MCSO), the complainant reported that his vehicle was damaged while parked in a parking lot, 5300 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 11:19 a.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $32.57 in fuel stolen, Ludington EZ Mart, 5900 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 2:56 p.m.,  (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 3:39 p.m., (MCSO), a 28 year-old Muskegon woman was cited for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, and a passenger — a 41-year-old Muskegon man — was arrested on four outstanding criminal bench warrants issued by the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office, Sugar Grove Road near Gordon Road, Victory Township.
