LASD sinking fund renewal passes.

Ludington Area School District voters approved a renewal request of .25 mills for its building sinking fund. The 10 year renewal will provide for a sinking fund for the construction or repair of school buildings and all other purposes. It is expected to raise approximately $369,565 in 2023. The millage renewal passed 1,438 to 921. 

Election results were as follows: 

  • Amber Township: yes, 68; no, 56
  • Hamlin Township Precinct 1: yes, 138; no, 79
  • Hamlin Township Precinct 2: yes, 231; no, 169
  • Pere Marquette Township Precinct 1: yes, 94; no, 50
  • Pere Marquette Township Precinct 2: yes, 185; no, 120
  • Summit Township: yes, 32; no, 35
  • City of Ludington Precinct 1: yes, 156; no, 100
  • City of Ludington Precinct 2: yes, 138; no, 68
  • City of Ludington Precinct 3: yes, 157; no, 86
  • City of Ludington Precinct 4: yes, 46; no, 60
  • City of Ludington Precinct 5: yes, 114; no, 56
  • City of Ludington Precinct 6: yes, 76; no, 40
