Thursday, April 21, 2022

– 12:05 p.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO): Deputies investigated an assault in the 3700 block of North Reed Road, Sherman Township. The report has been forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor’s Office for the alleged assault against a 21-year-old Ludington man.  

  • 7:41 p.m., Ludington Police Department: A 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued out of Fresno, Cali. at Dowland and George streets, City of Ludington. The warrant was for fraud (unauthorized personal identity). The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail and is expected to be extradited to California.  
  • 8:31 p.m., MCSO: Report of damaged property, mailbox, 2600 block of Larch Avenue, Hamlin Township.

  • 4:31 a.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, US 31 south of Beyer Road, Sherman Township. 
  • 9:50 a.m., MCSO: Two vehicle hit and run crash, no injuries, 4800 block of US 10, Pere Marquette Township. 
  • 2:38 p.m., MCSO: A 43-year-old Montague man was cited for no operator’s license/never applied following a traffic stop at Hoague and Quarterline roads, Grant Township. 
  • 3:18 p.m., MCSO: A 57-year-old Hart man was cited for driving while license suspended, first offense, following a traffic stop at Hoague and Quarterline roads, Grant Township. 
  • 4:23 p.m., MCSO: A 22-year-old Fountain man was cited for no operator’s license/never applied, Main and State streets, City of Scottville. 
  • 5:33 p.m., MCSO: A 32-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding friend of the court warrant out of Mason County following a traffic stop and Jebavy Drive and Fisher Road, Hamlin Township. 

Saturday, April 23, 2022

  • 8:31 a.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Reek Road north of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township. 
  • 10:28 a.m., MCSO: Breaking and entering to a storage shed, 6500 block of East Glenn Lane, Sheridan Township. Complainant reported someone broke into a shed on the property and took tools.  
  • 1:03 p.m., MCSO: Gas drive off of $93.19, Scottville Shell, 101 E. State St., City of Scottville. 
  • 2:09 p.m., MCSO: A 52-year-old Wyoming, Mich. man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, second offense, following a traffic stop at Brye Road north of US 31, Amber Township. 
  • 6 p.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Lakeshore Drive south of Killdeer Lane, Hamlin Township. 
  • 6:15 p.m., MCSO: A 47-year-old Ludington man was cited for DWLS, fourth offense, following a traffic stop, 1500 block of West Fisher Road, Victory Township. 
  • 7:27 p.m., Michigan State Police: a 57-year-old Fountain man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Wever Road and US 10, Branch Township.
