VIDEO: Bike Rodeo and Bike to School Day

Full Court Press is a sports and recreation webcast presented by Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital Orthopedics. 

VICTORY TOWNSHIP — Today, on MCP’s Full Court Press, Toni Swinhart speaks with Alison Helminski about the upcoming Bike Rodeo scheduled for Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at West Shore Community College’s Tech Center parking lot. The free children’s event is presented by Shoreline FORCE (the youth affiliate of the Shoreline Cycling Club) and West Shore Community College.

It will be comprised of five stations including a helmet and bike check, wheel check, rules of the road, safe riding in town, and a bicycling skills course.  Participants are encouraged to bring their bikes and riding gear.

Registration is now open at westshore.asapconnected.com.  The first 20 registrants will receive a free helmet and book.

Helminski, who is a physical education teacher at O.J. DeJonge Middle School, also talks about Ludington Area School District’s Bike to School Day on May 4.
