AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 51-year-old Scottville man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies for furnishing alcohol to minors Wednesday, April 6, at 8:30 p.m. after he allegedly bought alcohol for minors at the Meijer store on US 10, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The man was arrested following a 911 call reporting a “disturbance” at the traffic light at US 10 and Brye Road, said Cole. 

“An MCSO deputy learned one of the parties had gone into the Meijer store prior to deputies arriving. Upon following up in the store, the deputy found the subject at the checkout purchasing alcohol. Upon further investigations, it was determined he was buying the alcohol for minors that were outside.”

The suspect was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
