By Rob Alway, Editor-in-Chief.

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — The Riverton Fire Department Pancake Breakfast is returning this year after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic. The event is a major fundraiser for the fire department with proceeds helping to offset costs not covered by the Mason County Rural Authority’s millage.

The breakfast will be held Saturday, May 7 from 7 a.m. to noon at Riverton Township Hall, 2104 W. Hawley Rd. The $10 donation (children ages 6 and under, are by donation of diner’s choice) includes all you can eat of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, apple sauce, fruit, coffee, juice and maple syrup from Kistlercrest Farms.

The event will also include a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and a bake sale.

Other major sponsors include Sanders Meats of Custer and Indian Summer Co-op.
