Police investigate fraud case.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fraud case that was reported Tuesday, March 1, around 5 p.m. on Lancer Lane.

“The complainant reported an unknown person accessed her account and withdrew funds over $2,000,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The following is other police activity in Mason County Tuesday, March 1, 2022:

  • 7:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road west of Stiles Road, Victory Township.
  • 8:17 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested for assault and battery, ​200 block of East Ludington Ave​nue, City of Ludington. The victim, a 62-year-old Ludington man, was not injured. The suspect was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 11:30 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
  • 7:34 p.m., (MCSO, car/deer crash, no injury, Quarterline Road north of White Road, Grant Township.
  • ​7:49 p.m., (LPD), ​a 57-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving while license revoked, James and Dowland​ streets, City of Ludington.
