SCOTTVILLE — The 30th Family AfFAIR will be held on Saturday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Mason County Central Middle School parking lot. The event traditionally has been held indoors at the MCC High School but was moved to a drive-thru style event in 2021 due to COVID. This year’s event will follow the same format.

“Even with a drive thru style event our mission doesn’t change which is preventing abuse and neglect within our county and supporting socially emotionally healthy families,” said event organizer Angela Taylor of MCC Schools.

“Every year, people from area businesses and community agencies in our surrounding counties get together to provide resources, information and fun surprises for local families,” Taylor said. “This will happen again as each car that goes through will receive one bag of goodies and we will also have the Feeding America truck on site with food distribution. Families will be amazed at the variety of activities and fun available in each goodie bag.”

The event is free. This year’s theme is “community super heroes.”

Participants will be directed to enter the school campus from Johnson Road.
