The following noteworthy law enforcement activity took place over the weekend: 

Friday, Jan. 28, 2022: 

  • 1:09 p.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO): Two vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 east of Meyers Road, Amber Township. 
  • 4:02 p.m., MCSO: Larceny from a building, 3600 block of West Dewey Road, Victory Township.  Complainant reported a 50-pound spool of braided copper wire stolen from a building.
  • 6:05 p.m., MCSO: A 62-year-old Scottville man was arrested for domestic violence following a report of an assault in the 800 block of South Amber Road, Amber Township. 
  • 7:30 p.m., MCSO: A 42-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding felony home invasion warrant out of Ludington Police Department following a traffic stop at Emily and Danaher streets, Ludington. 
  • 7:46 p.m., MCSO: A 49-year-old Shelby man was arrested after being brought to the Mason County Jail by a bail bondsman. The man failed to show up for court and was arrested for contempt of court. The original charge was stalking. 

Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022: 

  • 6:09 a.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, US 10 and Darr Road, Custer Township.
  • 6 p.m., MCSO: One vehicle crash, no injuries, Hansen Road east of Meyers Road, Amber Township.
