Deputies busy with car/deer crashes.

BRANCH TOWNSHIP — Two deer were hit by two different cars at the same time and place Tuesday, Jan. 18, shortly before 7 a.m., on US 10 east of Benson Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

No humans were injured.

  • 12:45 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Hansen Road east of Custer Road, Custer Township.
  • 5:15 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez Road east of Kitner Road, Eden Township.
  • 6:12 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Reek Road, Custer Township.
  • 6:47 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Benson Road, Branch Township.
  • 6 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Fisher Road east of Stiles Road, Victory Township.
  • 6 p.m., a 40-year-old Ludington man was arrested at the Mason County Sheriff’s Office after he turned himself in on a probation violation warrant, City of Ludington.
