Obituary: Ethel Ashbay-Hemmer, 63, of Branch.

Ethel Marie Ashbay-Hemmer, 63, of Branch, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. She was born January 9, 1958 in Cadillac to Donald and Alice Ashbay.  Ethel graduated from Pine River High School.

Ethel was a collector of many things and she was always there to help anyone in need.

Ethel is survived by her partner, Michael Hentchel; her children, David (Sonja) Ashbay and Elsie (Josh) Wooll; her siblings, Val (José) Brown, Gail (Ronny) Agar, Merilee (Richard) Holmes, and Ira Ashbay; her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.

Besides her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Jr. and Bill Boyer.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. Family will visit with friends starting at noon and continuing after the service until 4 p.m.
