LUDINGTON — The three current Ludington Area School District elementary schools will host open houses to say farewell to the buildings. Soon, the new Ludington Elementary School will open in Pere Marquette Township. Each open house will take place on Thursday, Dec. 16. 

• Franklin Elementary, 5 to 6 p.m. 
• Foster Elementary, 6 to 7:30 p.m. 
• Lakeview Elementary has not yet announced the date and time of its open house. 

On Saturday, Dec. 11, a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the new Ludington Elementary School, 5771 W. Bryant Rd. in Pere Marquette Township from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ribbon cutting will be at 11 a.m.
