Obituary: James Tatman, 72, of Fountain.

James Richard Tatman, 72, of Fountain, passed away on October 28, 2021.

James was born on December 25, 1948 in Ludington. As a member of the United States Army, James spent a tour in Vietnam, then he re-enlisted for a tour in Germany. Upon returning home, he was employed as a custodian in the maintenance department at Mason County Central Public Schools and retired after 30 years of dedicated service.

James enjoyed camping and spending time with his significant other and companion of 33 years, Arlene McCrory Forbes, who survives him. 

Also surviving James are his daughters, Tammy (Zeb) Hueter and Sonya (Vern) Hagerman; granddaughter Samantha Hagerman, grandson Caleb Hueter, nieces and nephews, Oren (Diana) McFadzen, Patsy Persinger, Ed (Karen) McFadzen, and Diana McFadzen; and his furry buddy, Kodi.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Flora (Smith) Tatman; biological mother, Ruth Tatman; siblings, Omar Tatman, Phyliss McFadzen, and Elaina Reynolds; and his aunt, Jane Pearson.
