Amber Township, Pentwater school district voters go to polls Tuesday.

The voters of Amber Township will go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, to decide on a 1.5 mill request by the township board for roads. If approved, the millage would be levied for five years from 2022 to 2026, and will raise an estimated $181,277 in the first year.

Amber Township voters vote at the Amber Township Hall, 171 S. Amber Road.

The Amber Township road millage is the only municipality-wide election Tuesday in Mason County. The only other two polling places on Tuesday will be residents of the Pentwater Public School District in Riverton and Summit townships. Pentwater Schools is requesting a 3.22 mill bond for 30 years that would raise an estimated $24 million to be used to build a new gym and auditorium, running track and soccer field. Funds would also be used to improve the existing school building with safety and security upgrades including a secure school entry, fire alarm panel, and ADA accessibility; remodeling roofs to address leaks, windows and boiler replacement; and upgrades to classroom flooring, cabinets, and furniture. Funds would also provide upgrades to the media center, locker rooms and restrooms.

Voters in Riverton Township vote at the Riverton Township Hall and voters in Summit Township vote at the Summit Township Hall.
