SCOTTVILLE — A 37-year-old Lansing man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies on charges of operating with a high blood alcohol content (BAC)/super drunk driving and child endangerment Saturday, Oct. 2, shortly before 8 a.m. following several reports of a vehicle operating “all over the road” on US 10 west of Scottville Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The suspect’s vehicle was located in the West Shore Bank parking lot on State Street. During the investigation, deputies learned the vehicle had crashed in the 100 block of West State Street before pulling into the parking lot, said Sheriff Cole. Deputies found the vehicle occupants included a 21-year-old Muskegon woman and a 3-month-old baby.

  • 12:56 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 43-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant in Mason County, US 31 and Oceana Drive, Summit Township.
  • 8:16 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive north of Jackson Road, Hamlin Township.
  • 8:41 a.m., (MCSO), a 30-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault following a 911 call reporting an assault, 2900 block of Lena Drive, Hamlin Township.
  • ​11:03 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 52-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the 79th District Court for a charge of retail fraud, 600 block of East Loomis Street​, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 11:44 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Nelson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 1​2:32 p.m., (LPD), a 35-year-old Ludington man was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing police, and a 41-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for assault and battery during a disturbance, 800 block of North St. Catherine Street​, City of Ludington. The victim of the assault and battery, a 54-year-old Ludington man, was not injured. The two suspects were lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 3:23 p.m., (MCSO), a 54-year-old Branch man was cited  for fourth-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop, US 31 and Hansen Road, Amber Township.
  • 3:36 p.m., (MCSO), a 49-year-old Wellston woman was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant out of Mason County, US 10 and Countyline Road, Grant Township.
  • 5:15 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Benson and Marshall roads, Branch Township.
  • 7 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Free Soil Road west of Reek Road, Free Soil Township.

Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021:

  • 3:46 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Brye Road and US 10, Amber Township.

Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021:

  • 3:27 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Quarterline Road south of Countyline Road, Grant Township.
  • 7:14 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive north of Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 4:40 p.m. (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Forest Trail east of Quarterline Road, Grant Township.
