MCE athletic boosters to hold auction Tuesday.

CUSTER — Mason County Eastern Athletic Boosters will hold a silent auction on Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the MCE back to school open house. Traditionally, the boosters hold an auction in the spring. However, that event hasn’t taken place the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Though a spring auction is scheduled for 2022, the boosters decided to hold a fall auction as well. 

“Funds raised from the auction help offset costs for athletics,” said boosters member Sheri Howe. “These funds help pay for uniforms, meals for the kids when they are at away games, extra fees associated with certain sports such as lane fees that the bowling team must pay, along with special equipment that some teams need.” 

A variety of items will be up for silent auction, along with several items that will be purchased as “buy it now.” 

Another fundraiser, a craft bazar, is planned for Saturday, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gym.
