PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 33-year-old Manistee man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies for heroin/meth possession Saturday, Sept. 4, shortly after noon following a 911 call reporting a person passed out in a vehicle in the 5900 block of West US 10, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The following is other police activity in Mason County over the holiday weekend:

Friday, Sept. 3, 2021:

• 9:01 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Stiles Road north of Anthony Road, Riverton Township.
• 10:25 a.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $60.01 in fuel stolen, Airport EZ Mart, 5400 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
• 11:40 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Free Soil Township.
• 3 p.mp., (MCSO), a 28-year-old White Cloud woman was arrested on an outstanding Mason County probation violation warrant, US 10 and Tyndall Road, Branch Township.
• 6:43 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road, east of Stiles Road, Victory Township.
• ​10 p.m.,  (Ludington Police Department), ​a 22-year-old Fountain man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), Ludington Avenue and Staffon​ Street, City of Ludington.
• 10:41 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Conrad Road overpass, Amber Township.

Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021:

• 10:40 a.m., (MCSO), a 59-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic violence and interfering with a telecommunication device following a 911 call, 2200 block of North Sherman Road, Hamlin Township.
• 11:48 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Branch Township.
• 12:41 p.m., (LPD), ​a 37-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault and battery, Court Street and Rath ​Avenue, City of Ludington. The victim, a 36-year-old Ludington woman, received a split lip from being punched by the man who was lodged in the Mason County Jail following his arrest. No medical treatment was sought by the victim.
• 1:21 p.m., (MCSO), larceny, 100 block of South Gibson Road, Branch Township. The complainant reported numerous items reportedly stolen off the property.  The case remains under investigation.
• 2:02 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle, rear-end crash, US 31 south of Forest Trail, Free Soil Township. Both drivers were treated at the scene by Life EMS for minor injuries.
• 5:17 p.m., (MCSO), a 37-year-old Scottville woman was arrested for domestic assault following a 911 call reporting an assault, 700 block of East Wilson Road, Custer Township.

Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021:

• 1:56 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 north of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township.
• 1:01 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 and Johnson Road, Amber Township.
• ​2:32 p.m., (LPD), ​a 47-year-old Ludington man was cited for DWLS, Emily and Lowell​ streets, City of Ludington.
• 3:53 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, 100 block of South Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
• 9:05 p.m., (MCSO), assault, Scottville River Boat Launch, City of Scottville. The complainant reported being struck with a fishing pole during a confrontation and sustained a minor cut to the hand.

Monday, Sept. 6, 2021:

• ​8:35 a.m., (LPD), a 48-year-old Tecumseh, Michigan man was cited for DWLS, ​Bryant Street and Washington ​Avenue, City of Ludington.
• Noon, (MCSO), damaged mailbox, 10000 block of North Custer Road, Free Soil Township.
• 4:27 p.m., (MCSO), damaged mailbox, 400 block of East Free Soil Road, Free Soil Township.
