Obituary: David Croff, Sr., 70, of Howard City, formerly of Scottville.

David Leroy Croff, Sr., 70, of Howard City passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021.

Dave was born June, 18, 1951 in the Hart the son of Gordon and Leona (Frost) Croff. He graduated from Mason County Central High School in 1969. He spent most of his life as a long haul truck driver, a career he retired from a few years ago. In retirement he began making his own maple syrup. Throughout his life his passion for tinkering led to the restoration of numerous tractors and other farm implements. In 1984 he married Constance Smith and they were married until her death on July 2, 2013.

He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Victoria Croff in 2011.

David is survived by his sons, Jeff (Sadonna), David Jr. and Patrick (Tonya); his stepson Terry (Sandra) Vance; his grandchildren Amber Croff, Alexandra (Ashton) Bergeon, Elizabeth Croff, Triel Croff, Jillian Croff, Isabella Croff, Chandler Croff, Brooke Olmstead, Nicole (Daryl) Krueger, Cassia Wolfe, Kyle (Jenn) Wolfe, Kayla (Charles) Castleberry and Jessica Frederick; his brother Robert (Jane) Croff; his nephew Philip Croff; nieces Megan Dill and Angela (Thomas) Warschefsky; and seven great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 10 am. to noon on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Howard City Funeral and Cremation Services, 225 E Edgerton Street in Howard City.
