US 10 construction will continue through October.

AMBER TOWNSHIP — Construction began today on the intersection of US 10/31 and Brye Road. According to a Michigan Department of Transportation press release, the $700,000 project will create right-turn lanes at the intersection. It will also include resurfacing and pavement repairs.

Lane closures and traffic shifts are in effect throughout the project. Brye Road will be closed intermittently. The lane closure will be removed over the Labor Day weekend but construction is expected to continue through early October.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is urging local travelers to seek alternative routes.
