Several roads in Mason County are impassable this morning following Tuesday evening’s storm. The storm hit landfall about 10 p.m. and knocked down trees and utility lines. As of 10:30 a.m., many places are still without power. Riverton Township resident Wayne Wagner and his son, Thomas, were busy cleaning up his yard on Morton Road this morning. Wagner said several trees were knocked down in his yard.

People are being asked to avoid any downed utility lines and should assume that a line is charged.

A utility pole fell on the roof of the Scottville Optimist Building.
