Horse pulling returns to Old Engine Club show.

SCOTTVILLE — Horse pulling will return to the Western Michigan Old Engine Club’s annual Tractor & Engine Show this Friday, Aug. 6 beginning at 5 p.m. Event organizer Jake Tenney of the old engine club said about 10 teams are expected for the event.

“We introduced the horse pull at the 2019 show and it was very popular,” Tenney said. “Of course, we didn’t have a show in 2020 so we are looking forward to it again this year. In addition, Fountain didn’t hold its annual Memorial weekend pull, so we know that people are eager to see the return of horse pulling.”

Admission to the pull is included in the gate admission to the show, $6 per person; kids ages 12 and younger are free. The show is held at Riverside Park.
