Deputies busy with crashes over the weekend.

The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, July 16, 2021:

  • 1:20 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), three-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Brye Road, Amber Township.

Saturday, July 17, 2021:

  • 12:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez Road east of Ordway Road Eden Township.
  • 1:21 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 24-year-old Ludington man was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated, 300 block of West Ludington Avenue​, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail. He was also cited for refusing a preliminary breath test and speeding.
  • 1:50 a.m., (MCSO), a 21-year-old Wellston man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County probation violation warrant following a traffic stop, 200 block of West Broadway Street, City of Scottville.
  • 2:43 a.m., (LPD),  a 47-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving while license suspended, Foster Street and Washington ​Avenue, City of Ludington. He had three outstanding warrants for failure to appear issued by the Oceana County court system. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail on the warrants.
  • 6:59 a.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $37.33 in fuel stolen, Murphy Gas, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 6:25 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 8:40 p.m., (MCSO), an 18-year-old Muskegon man was cited for operating without a license following a traffic stop, Madison and Filer streets, City of Ludington.

Sunday, July 18, 2021:

  • 2:46 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Washington Avenue and Stiles Road, Riverton Township.
  • 8 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Meyers Road, Amber Township.
  • 10:18 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 near Free Soil Road, Grant Township.
