EDEN TOWNSHIP — A 49-year-old Beulah, Michigan man was injured after the vehicle he was operating failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road and struck several trees Wednesday, July 14, just before 5 p.m. on Hawley Road east of Stephens Road, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

He was arrested following treatment at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital and lodged in the Mason County Jail on a felony operating while intoxicated — drugs warrant issued in Benzie County.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office will also seek a warrant for OWI as a result of the crash, said Sheriff Cole.

Custer Fire Department and Life EMS also responded to the call.
