Man with 5 prior DWLS convictions arrested again after allegedly violating PPO.

LUDINGTON — A 29-year-old Ludington man was arrested Friday, July 9, shortly after 10 a.m. after Mason County sheriff’s deputies and Michigan State Police troopers responded to a “silent” alarm at a business in the 4800 block of West US 10  on Tinkham Avenue west of Washington Avenue, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“A responding trooper called into the business and learned the alarm had been activated after an employee noticed a male enter — who was prohibited by court order — from being at the business,” said Sheriff Cole. “The trooper notified deputies, and a deputy spotted the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.”

The man was arrested for subsequent-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) — he had five prior convictions — and violating a personal protection order (PPO).
