79th District Court sentencings, dismissals, posted July 2, 2021.

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Ronnie Zuniga, Jr., 37, of 605 E. Dowland St., Ludington, pleaded guilty June 29 to disorderly person jostling and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; and $310 in fines/costs.

-Anthony Charles Henson, 30, of 936 E. Maple St., Battle Creek, pleaded guilty June 30 to domestic violence and was sentenced to 27 days in jail with credit for 27 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; no contact with the victim; and $125 in fines/costs.

-Sergio Ramon Escamilla, 28, of 2547 W. Kinney Rd., Riverton Township, pleaded guilty June 28 to failure to display a valid drivers license and was sentenced to pay $275 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).

-Tierzah Joy Petersen, 22, of 2486 N. Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty June 28 to failure to display a valid drivers license and was sentenced to pay $275 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Scott Michael Fuller, 30, of 1742 N. Custer Rd., Custer Township, pleaded guilty June 29 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; must have Soberlink for 90 days; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $1,095 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. Charges of refusing a preliminary breath test, reckless driving, disobeying a stop sign and having a cracked windshield were dismissed.

-Mark Marshall Aspy, 61, of 4890 Birch Ln., Pentwater, pleaded guilty June 29 to taking a deer without a license and was sentenced to pay $1,285 in fines/costs. A charge of illegally taking a deer was dismissed.

-Christopher David Chesebro, 22, of 176 Lincoln, Manistee, pleaded guilty June 20 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/controlled substances; subject to random PBTs; must obtain substance abuse counseling; and $870 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. 

Dismissals

-Tessey Lee Hathaway, 39, of 1525 W. Dewey Rd., Victory Township, had a charge of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on June 30 after pleading guilty to a civil infraction of no proof of insurance.
