Some Rasmussen Road residents will have limited access to driveways beginning Friday.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Residents of some homes on Rasmussen Road will have limited access to their driveways on Friday, June 11 and Monday, June 14, according to the Mason County Road Commission. The homes between the addresses of 5255 and 5563 W. Rasmussen Road will have concrete curb and gutter places across their driveway, as part of the on-going construction project on the road.

The contractor will be pouring the curb and gutter on the south side of road on Friday and on the north side of the road on Monday. The concrete needs to cure a day or two before residents will be able to drive over it with a vehicle in and out of their driveways.

Gravel will be placed over the new curb at the driveways within two days so access can be gained to the driveways.

Residents who are not able to get out of their driveway from Friday, June 11 through Tuesday, June 15 may call Ludington Mass Transit Authority at 231-845-6218 for a free ride in the Ludington service area at no charge. An alternate phone number for LMTA is 231-845-1231, then press 1 after prompted by automated message.
