Muskegon man sentenced to prison for receiving, concealing stolen property and assaulting police.

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Moore

– Jonathan Dale Moore, 47, of 687 Turner St., Muskegon, was found guilty April 13, 2021 of receiving and concealing stolen property $1,000-$20,000 and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced June 1, 2021 to 20 months to 20 years in prison for count 1 and 20 months to 15 years in prison for count 2 with credit for 121 days served in jail and $266 in fines and costs. Both terms run concurrently. Charges of larceny $1,000 or more and driving while license suspended were dismissed.

Kevin Kaiser

– Kevin James Kaiser, 27, of 209 S. Rowe St., Ludington, was found guilty May 25, 2021 of aggravated stalking and two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced June 1, 2021 to one year in jail with credit for 382 days served; five years probation; and $934 in fines and costs. A second count of aggravated stalking and one count of first-degree home invasion were dismissed.

Sroka

– Brian Lewis Sroka, 37, of 2056 Parrs Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, was found guilty Feb. 23, 2021 of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and malicious destruction of property $200-$1,000 and was sentenced May 25, 2021 to six days in jail with credit for six days served; 18 months probation; and $908 in fines and costs. Charges of second-offense habitual offender, a second count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, a second count of malicious destruction of property $200-$1,000 and domestic violence were dismissed.

 

Buckhout

– Jesse James Buckhout, 38, of 1167 Flemming Ave., Muskegon, was found guilty March 10, 2021 of methamphetamine possession and second-offense habitual offender was sentenced May 11, 2021 to 75 days in jail with credit for 75 days served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs.

 

Michels

– Kyle Avery Michels, 25, of 6954 E. US 10, Fountain, was found guilty March 23, 2021 of methamphetamine possession and was sentenced May 25, 2021 to 83 days in jail with credit for 85 days served; one year probation;  and $858 in fines and costs.

 

Leahy

– Samantha Lynn Leahy, 41, of 2644 W. Maw Gaw NE Quong Rd., Manistee, was found guilty Feb. 5, 2021 of methamphetamine possession and was sentenced to 18 months probation and $858 in fines and costs.
