LUDINGTON — A 37-year-old Ludington man was arrested and lodged in the Mason County Jail for disorderly conduct — public fighting Wednesday, June 2, shortly before 8:30 p.m. following an incident at Rite Aid located in the 900 block of East Ludington Avenue, according to Cpt. Steve Wietrzykowski of the Ludington Police Department.

A 41-year-old Scottville man and a 21-year-old Ludington man were issued appearance citations for disorderly conduct – public fighting.

“The men were fighting because prior issues between the men’s families built up during the day,” said Cpt. Wietrzykowski . “At the time of this incident, the 37-year-old man was driving in his car and allegedly followed the spouse of the 41-year-old man to Rite Aid to confront her. She contacted the other two men to meet her at Rite Aid. The police investigation showed the 37-year-old man to be the instigator of the physical contact.”
