The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, May 14, 2021:

  • 8:02 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 34-year-old Branch man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop, US 10 and Walhalla Road, Branch Township.
  • 10:51 p.m., (MCSO), a 46-year-old Grand Junction, Michigan man was cited for DWLS following a traffic stop, US 10 and Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 11:39 p.m., (MCSO), a 27-year-old Irons woman was arrested on an outstanding Lake County probation violation warrant following a traffic stop, US 10 and Brye Road, Amber Township.

Saturday, May 15, 2021:

  • 12:12 p.m., (MCSO), motorcycle crash, minor injury, Sugar Grove Road north of Campbell Road, Sheridan Township. A 44-year-old Muskegon man received minor injuries following a one-vehicle crash.
  • 2:50 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
  • ​6:42 p.m., (Ludington Police Department) ​a 46-year-old Ludington man was cited for DWLS, Ludington Avenue and Harrison ​Street, City of Ludington.
  • 8:22 p.m., (MCSO), larceny, 1400 block of North Custer Road, Sherman Township. The victim reported the theft of several items from a residence.
  • 8:51 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Johnson Road, Amber Township.
  • 9:10 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 9:11 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Millerton Road west of Gilda Road, Sheridan Township.
  • 9:50 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Gordon Road south of US 10, Amber Township.
  • 11:56 p.m., (LPD), ​a 39-year-old Elkhart, Indiana man was arrested for public intoxication, 200 block of South William Street, City of Ludington. The man, who was highly intoxicated, knocked on a condo door — shaking the door knob trying to get in. The man passed out on the person’s deck just prior to the arrival of police. The condo owner did not know the man and, he did not live there. The suspect was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Sunday, May 16, 2021:

  • 9 a.m., (MCSO), larceny of money, Rodeway Inn, 5000 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. The complainant reported the theft of cash out of her purse. Unknown amount.
