PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies Sunday, March 21, at 3 p.m. on charges of disorderly person and resisting arrest at the Comfort Inn on West US 10 after allegedly causing a disturbance at the hotel and trying to fight with deputies, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Deputies responded to the scene “following a call about unruly subjects in one of the hotel rooms, tripping a fire alarm in their room,” said Cole. “They were asked to leave, at the request of hotel personnel. The suspect reportedly refused, telling the hotel staff to ‘call the f—— cops!’ When Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived, the suspect reportedly started swearing at deputies and began resisting by trying to fight with them in a stairwell. The second subject left without incident.”
