Man cited for violating burning ban.

BRANCH TOWNSHIP — A 27-year-old Branch man was cited by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office for violating the burning ban Sunday, March 21, around 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Landon Road after Branch Township Fire Department responded to a fire that burned approximately half an acre of land, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Open burning is banned by the Department Natural Resources throughout most of the state due to dry, windy conditions.
