LASD employees announce retirements. 

LUDINGTON — The Ludington Area School District Board of Education recently learned of several staff retirements effective June 30. As part of the agreements the district has with its employee unions, employees qualify for a retirement incentive if they notify the district of their retirement prior to the start of the last trimester of the school year. The following notified the district prior to the beginning of the trimester on March 8: 

  • Julie Diesch, special education teacher, Ludington High School.
  • Kathy Larson, fourth grade teacher, Foster Elementary School.
  • Christine Armstrong, student supervision paraprofessional, OJ DeJonge Middle School.
  • Patricia Dalzell, student supervision paraprofessional, LHS.
  • Robert Slawinski, bus driver.
  • Jennie Vandervest, secretary, LHS.
