Ludington man arrested on rape charges from Charlevoix Co.

VICTORY TOWNSHIP — A 30-year-old Ludington man was arrested Tuesday, March 9, 2021 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office on two counts of a criminal sexual conduct (rape) warrant out of East Jordan Police Department (Charlevoix County). The arrest occurred at 9:15 p.m. the 1600 block of West Sugar Grove. The man faces one count of CSC first degree and one count of CSC second degree. 

Other notable police activity for March 9, 2021 included: 

  • 2:08 p.m., Ludington Police Department, 600 block of East Danaher Street, City of Ludington: 40-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court, issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court. The warrant is related to a prior possession of methamphetamine charge.  She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.  
  • 6:11 p.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, US 10 west of Budzynski Road, Branch Township. 
  • 9:15 p.m., MCSO, a 33-year-old Ludington woman was arrested following a traffic stop in the 3900 block of West US 10, Amber Township for three outstanding misdemeanor warrants for contempt of court.
