Meth possession arrests top police activity.

The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Wednesday, March 3, 2021:

  • 11:05 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 32-year-old Baldwin man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant and for possession of methamphetamine, Benson Road near Decker Road, Branch Township.

Thursday, March 4, 2021:

  • 6:42 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), alarm activation, Custer Township.
  • 2:10 p.m., (MCSO), a 54-year-old Branch man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was arrested on three criminal bench warrants issued in Mason County, US 10 and Stiles Road, Amber Township. His passenger, a 44-year-old Ludington woman, was arrested on two outstanding criminal bench warrants for failure to appear on charges of assault and car theft.
  • 2:23 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 9:07 p.m., (MCSO), a 57-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a felony drug warrant for methamphetamine possession issued in Mason County, 5400 block of Rasmussen Road, Pere Marquette Township. A 40-year-old Shelby man was arrested for methamphetamine possession and on several outstanding Muskegon County warrants including a criminal bench warrant, a misdemeanor shoplifting warrant and a felony drug warrant. Both suspects were lodged in the Mason County Jail.
