Several suspended drivers charged over the weekend.

The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, Feb. 26, 2021:

  • 5:40 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Amber Road, Amber Township.
  • 6:57 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 5:19 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested for second-offense driving while suspended (DWLS), Washington Avenue and Filer​ Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 8:15 p.m., (MCSO),  a 30-year-old Coloma, Michigan man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Van Buren County following a traffic stop, US 10 and Brye Road, Amber Township.
  • ​8:20 p.m., (LPD), ​a 35-year-old Ludington man was arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and resisting police, 200 block of South James Street, City of Ludington. ​He was lodged in the Mason County Jail. “The man was intoxicated and refused to leave the Sand Bar per the request of the Sand Bar and Ludington Police,” said Cpt. Steve Wietrzykowski. “After being told he was under arrest by police, the man pulled his arms away from officers while they were trying to place him under arrest. The man also yelled obscenities while outside the bar and refused to sit in the patrol unit.”
  • 10 p.m., (MCSO), a 37-year-old Bear Lake, Michigan man was cited for DWLS following a traffic stop, Custer and Millerton roads, Sherman Township.

Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021:

  • 12:35 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Victory Drive, Victory Township.
  • 1:11 a.m., (MCSO), a 47-year-old Hart man was cited for DWLS following a traffic stop, Pere Marquette Highway and First Street, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 2:58 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Quarterline Road north of Beyer Road, Victory Township.
  • 8:49 a.m., (MCSO), a 25-year-old Scottville woman was cited for DWLS following a traffic stop, Thomas Street and Broadway Avenue, City of Scottville.
  • 6:48 p.m., (MCSO), a 24-year-old Fountain man was arrested on a bench warrant out of Manistee County and cited for DWLS following a traffic stop, Campbell and Decker roads, Branch Township.
  • 11:05 p.m., (MCSO), a 21 year-old Fountain man was arrested for DWLS and an absconder warrant following a traffic stop, Sugar Grove and Reek roads, Sherman Township.

Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021:

  • 6:30 p.m., (MCSO),  car/deer crash, no injury, Schoenherr Road south of Johnson Road, Branch Township.
  • 6:47 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Johnson and Gordon roads, Amber Township.
  • 7:20 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of Anderson Road, Victory Township.
  • 8:20 p.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
