Fire destroys Walhalla home.

WALHALLA, Branch Township — Fire destroyed a home at 7079 E. Sandra Kay Rd. Friday afternoon. Firefighters were initially dispatched to the house, located between Campbell Road and Stephen Avenue, at 2:50 p.m. According to firefighters on scene, none of the home occupants were injured. Initial dispatch information stated there was fire in the walls. The first fire unit on scene reported the house was fully engulfed in flames.

Branch Fire Department and Custer Fire Department were the first departments to be dispatched. A full department response from Fountain Area Fire Department was also requested. Riverton Fire Department assisted with the Rural Fire Authority’s air trailer.
