FiveCAP to hold annual Walk for Warmth.

CUSTER TOWNSHIP — FiveCAP, Inc. will hold its 28th annual Walk for Warmth on Saturday, Feb. 20 beginning at 10 a.m. at the agency’s warehouse, 44 E. Johnson Rd. The event raises money to help ensure funding is available for residents who are facing having their heat shut off, and who would not otherwise qualify for assistance through state and federal programs. The event also serves to bring awareness of the struggles many people face during winter.

There is no minimum donation required to participate. Direct contributions also are accepted year-round.

“All of the funds stay in the county where the money is raised,”  said Angela Anderson, community support Director for FiveCAP, Inc.

Masks and social distancing are required.

For more information, contact FiveCAP at 231-757-3785. Pledge sheets and charitable contribution forms are available on the website www.fivecap.org. Pledge sheets, brochures and other information also can be picked up at the Mason County FiveCAP office located at 302 N. Main Street, Scottville.
