The Scoop: Safe Harbor Credit Union’s Cash for the Classroom.

The Scoop is a presentation of Betten Baker Ford of Ludington and West Shore Bank.

LUDINGTON — Safe Harbor Credit Union is giving back to local educators through its Cash for the Classroom campaign. Every Friday in February the locally owned credit union will give away $250 to a teacher who is nominated for consideration for a total of $1,000.

Kate Krieger-Watkins speaks to SHCU Executive Vice President Kyle Gurzynski about the program, along with the expected completion of the credit union’s new building in Pere Marquette Township.

We have all faced challenges over the last year. A group that has been asked to continually adapt to changing environments are educators who are teaching our youth. Whether virtually or in person, teachers have sacrificed and made nearly daily adjustments to assure our young people can continue learning. At Safe Harbor Credit Union, we wanted to take a moment to acknowledge these neighbors and community members and to say “thank you”.
