SSCENT warrant arrests top police activity.

The following is police activity in Mason County Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021:

  • 11:03 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 32-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County 79th District Court failure to appear warrant and an outstanding assault and battery warrant from Muskegon County, Rowe Street and Pere Marquette St., City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 3 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Larson Road south of Free Soil Road, Meade Township.
  • 4:03 p.m., (LPD), a 27-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for an outstanding State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT) warrant following a traffic stop, Bryant and Washington streets, City of Ludington. The driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old Ludington man, was arrested for having open intoxicants inside the vehicle and for operating a motor vehicle while unlicensed. Both suspects were lodged in the Mason County Jail.  
  • 5:03 p.m., (LPD), a 25-year-old Ludington man and a 33-year-old Ludington woman were both arrested on outstanding SSCENT warrants, Madison and Melendy streets, City of Ludington. The woman had an additional failure to appear warrant for a retail fraud charge in the 79th District Court. They were both lodged in the Mason County Jail.
