Johnson re-elected as Ludington mayor pro-tem.

LUDINGTON — Les Johnson has been re-elected as mayor pro-tem. Johnson was unanimously appointed to the position Monday during the regular meeting of city council. Johnson has served as mayor pro-tem the past two years. Voters of the City of Ludington elect a mayor every four years but the mayor pro-tem is elected by the seven member council. Unlike the mayor, the mayor pro-tem is a voting member of the council. The mayor only votes in the case of a tie. Johnson is the third ward councilor.
