Fire destroys Grant Township home. 

GRANT TOWNSHIP — Fire destroyed a home at 770 W. Deer Run Rd. late Tuesday evening. Grant Township Fire Department and Free Soil/Meade Fire Department were called to the residence at the 10:18 p.m. According to dispatch information, the occupant stated she had knocked over a candle. 

According to Free Soil/Meade Fire Chief Vince Williams, the house was completely destroyed. 

Other emergency units responding included Custer Fire Department, Fountain Area Fire Department, and Mason County Sheriff’s Office. Fountain Fire Department Auxiliary also responded.
