AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, both from Spring Lake, were injured when the 2017 Polaris Ranger XP they were riding overturned, ejecting them off the vehicle Monday, Dec. 21, shortly before 11 a.m. on Pittard Road south of Conrad Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Both girls were pinned under the vehicle and were freed by emergency personnel, said Sheriff Cole. They were transported by Life EMS to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver, who is a 14-year-old from Spring Lake, was uninjured. Names are being withheld due to their juvenile status, said Sheriff Cole.

Emergency units responding included MCSO, Scottville Police Department, Scottville Fire Department, Custer Fire Department and Life EMS.

Other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 includes:

  • 6:08 p.m., retail fraud, Walmart, 4800 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. A report will be forwarded to the Mason County Prosecutor for review.
  • 7:18 p.m., an 18 year-old Manistee man was arrested for domestic violence following a 911 call reporting an assault, 11000 block of North White Pine Drive, Meade Township.
  • 8:10 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive and King Road, Pere Marquette Township.
