Mason County sheriff’s deputies responded to 12 crashes and slide-offs Saturday, Dec. 12, after heavy, wet snow fell in the area, creating slick roads. One minor injury was reported.

The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, Dec. 11, 2020:

– 8:11 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, Jagger Road east of Lincoln Road, Hamlin Township.

– 1:05 p.m., (MCSO), a 20-year-old Ludington man was arrested for probation violation on an original charge was assaulting a police officer, 5500 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.

Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020:

– 8:10 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Lincoln Road south of Sugar Grove Road, Hamlin Township.

– 8:37 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle/tree crash, no injury, Morse Road south of Dewey Road, Sheridan Township.

– 9:02 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle/tree crash, no injury, Sugar Grove Road east of US 31, Sherman Township.

– 9:14 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle slide-off, no damage/no injury, Amber and Hansen roads, Amber Township.

– 9:33 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle slide-off, no damage/no injury, US 31 and Hansen Road, Custer Township.

– 9:43 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 north of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township.

– 10:44 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle rollover crash, minor injury, US 31 south of LaSalle Road, Grant Township. A 25-year-old Chambersburg, Pennsylvania woman received minor a injury.

– 11:20 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle/power pole crash, no injury, Free Soil Road west of Darr Road, Free Soil Township.

– 11:24 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle slide-off, no damage/no injury, Hansen Road west of Stiles Road, Amber Township.

– 11:39 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 38-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for home invasion following a a domestic-related incident in the 600 block of East Danaher Street, City of Ludington. “Some minor injuries to two involved people resulted from a scuffle during the incident,” said Cpt. Steve Wietrzykowski.

– 12:51 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle rollover crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of US 31, Sherman Township.

– 1:10 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Main Street south of Broadway Street, City of Scottville.

– 3:09 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Decker Road west of Rath Avenue, Hamlin Township.

Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020:

– 1:07 a.m., (MCSO), a 51-year-old Allendale woman was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) following a traffic stop, US 10 and Custer Road, Custer Township.

– 6:24 p.m., (LPD), a 52-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for domestic assault and battery, 400 East Filer Street, City of Ludington. The victim received minor injuries from the incident.

– 6:38 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive north of Decker Road, Hamlin Township.

– 10:35 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 38-year-old Spring Lake woman was cited for DWLS following a vehicle slide-off, Federal Forest Road 5580 south of US 10, Branch Township.
