AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 31-year-old Belding, Michigan man and a 33-year-old Fenwick, Michigan woman who were arrested earlier this week by Michigan State Police troopers for a crime spree that included the alleged theft of a truck and trailer and building supplies from local stores were arraigned in 79th District Court on numerous felony charges.

Austin Daniel Koster, 1527 State St., and Kali Nicole Royce, of 10750 S. Sheridan Rd., were arraigned on felony charges of counterfeiting — coins, possession of five or more firearms, receiving and concealing stolen property — a motor vehicle and receiving and concealing stolen property over $1,000, according to their court files. Koster’s bond was set at $50,000/cash, and Royce’s was set at $25,000/cash. They are both scheduled for probable cause hearings Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 21.

The couple was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, after allegedly stealing a truck and trailer and then stealing building supplies from local stores that they loaded onto the trailer, according to MSP Sgt. Dan Thomas of the Hart post.

Troopers observed a suspicious truck and trailer leaving the Home Depot store and made a traffic stop on US 10 near the Meijer gas station, Thomas said. When the troopers ran the truck’s license plate, it came back as stolen, he said. It was also discovered that the pair had “multiple warrants from other agencies,” he said.
