Driver flees scene on foot after rear-ending tractor.

Citizens help capture suspect who was arrested for OWI, leaving the crash scene and driving without a license.

VICTORY TOWNSHIP — An 18-year-old Custer man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies Wednesday, Oct. 7, around 5:30 p.m. for operating while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a crash and driving without a license after allegedly rear-ending a westbound farm tractor on Fountain Road east of Stiles Road and fleeing the scene on foot, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Citizens helped deputies capture the suspect on Beyer Road east of Amber Road, said Sheriff Cole. The driver of the tractor sustained a minor injury.
